Are my credit or debit card details secure?

The BookMyCourse web site uses Elavon’s Opayo gateway, (formerly SagePay) for secure online credit and debit card payments made on the site. For telephone card payments we use Trust Payments. Both Opayo and Trust Payments are fully approved payment processors with all major UK acquiring banks, providing secure card payment solutions for thousands of online businesses across the UK.

What is a “Subject to Availability” booking?

Some of the courses on the BookMyCourse site are updated in real-time or a least daily by the Training Providers who supply the courses. Here the course will already have confirmed availability. However, in other instances a Training Provider will set-up an event, and we will need to check availability before confirming the booking. In these instances, the course event will be indicated as a “Subject to Availability”. In most cases these courses will still have availability but this needs to be confirmed. 

What happens after a booking has been confirmed?

Once your booking has been confirmed you will receive an email with details relating to the course that you have booked. The process is then handed over to the Training Provider who will send out joining instructions directly to you before the course starts. Please contact the Training Provider directly if you have any queries relating to the course arrangements, once the booking has been confirmed. Following course completion the Training Provider will issue any appropriate course certification or attendance/ID cards directly to you. These do not come via Book My Course Limited.

On completion of a course you may receive a QA questionnaire or a brief telephone call from Book My Course Limited. This is an essential component of our continual improvement program. We want to know about your course experiences, good or bad and we will ensure that Training Providers are aware of the feedback we receive.

What happens if I want to cancel a course booking?

We understand that course cancellations will happen from time to time. If you need to cancel a course you must notify us by email, quoting your name and the booking reference. Unfortunately, we cannot process verbal cancellations. The course will then be cancelled in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the original booking. Where refunds are due, they will be transferred back to the original card on which the booking payment was made, and an email notification/credit note will be sent to you as confirmation of the cancellation.

What happens if a training provider cancels a course?

Fortunately this is rare but can happen. In the event of a cancellation, Training Providers on our web site commit as part of their terms and conditions to re-arrange the booking at another date and time acceptable to both parties and at the same value as the original booking. If this is not possible Book My Course Limited will reimburse the value of the booking in full and without delay.

How does BookMyCourse select its training providers?

Book My Course Limited only recruits reputable and appropriately qualified Training Providers. Before recruiting providers, preliminary evaluation is carried out to verify the credentials of the Training Provider. Once a Training Provider is recruited to the site, our continuous monitoring of QA standards ensures that Training Providers meet high standards of delivery. Any Training Provider who cannot maintain high standards will not retain their position on our site.

How long will it take to receive my certificate or card?

Delegates who successfully complete and pass training courses will be issued with a certificate and/or card confirming this. Certificate and card issue lead times will vary from course to course and the issue of these is managed by the Training Provider that ran the course. All training companies have internal verification procedures and where accrediting bodies are involved the accreditation body will also have their own verification procedures. For non-accredited courses, certificates will be issued to all delegates who pass courses and are usually issued within 10 working days from the course completion date, but the issue time for cards and certificates for accredited courses will vary dependent on the scheme accreditation body.

The expected certificate or card issue times for the most common schemes are detailed below. Please do let us know if certification and/or card issue has not arrived within a specified timeframe, as we can then get involved in chasing the provider on your behalf.

CCNSG Courses - A temporary CCNSG Card will be issued to all delegates who pass the course on the course completion date. The full CCNSG Safety Passport card will then usually be issued within 6 weeks of the course completion date. 

CISRS Courses - Certificates will be issued to all delegates who pass the course and certificates for CISRS courses are usually issued within 4-8 weeks of the course completion date. A CISRS card will then be received typically within 4 weeks following the issue of the Certificate. 

CITB Courses - Certificates will be issued to all delegates who pass CITB courses and are usually issued within 2-4 weeks of the course completion date. CITB certificates are issued as electronic PDF documents. 

City and Guilds Confined Space Courses - Certificates will be issued to all delegates who pass City and Guilds Confined Spaces courses and are usually issued within 8-10 weeks of the course completion date. 

CPCS Red Cards - A CPCS Red card will be issued to all delegates who pass the course and will usually be issued within 2-6 weeks of the course completion date. 

CPCS Blue Cards  - A CPCS Blue Card certificate will be issued to all delegates who pass the NVQ course and will usually be issued within 4 weeks of the NVQ submission date. A CPCS Blue Card will then typically be issued 3 months after the NVQ submission date. 

ETA Awards (Level 1 H&S in Construction) - Certificates will be issued to all delegates who pass the Level 1 Health and Safety in Construction course and certificates are usually issued within 14 days of the course completion date. 

EUSR Courses - An EUSR card will be issued to all delegates who pass EUSR courses and will usually be issued within 4-6 weeks of the course completion date. 

First Aid Courses -  First Aid course certificates will be issued to all delegates who pass first aid courses and are usually issued within 10 days of the course completion date. 

IPAF Courses -  E-Certificates will be issued to all delegates who pass IPAF courses and are usually available on the ePAL app with within 2-4 weeks of the course completion date. 

Note:- Hard copy IPAF certification can be purchased at additional cost but is not normally required and is not offered as standard.

IOSH Working Safely Courses - IOSH Working Safely certificates will be issued to all delegates who pass the course and are usually issued within 4-6 weeks of the course completion date. 

IOSH Managing Safely Courses - IOSH Managing Safely certificates will be issued to all delegates who pass the course and are usually issued within 4-8 weeks following submission of the final project, which is due 2 weeks after the course completion date. 

IOSH Leading Safely Courses - IOSH Leading Safely certificates will be issued to all delegates who pass the course and are usually issued within 4-8 weeks following submission of the final project, which is due 2 weeks after the course completion date. 

NEBOSH Courses - NEBOSH certificates will be issued to all delegates who pass the course and are usually issued within 12 weeks of the course completion date. 

NPORS Courses - NPORS cards will be issued to all delegates who pass the course and will usually be issued within 2-6 weeks of the course completion date. 

NRSWA Courses - NRSWA Certificates will be issued to all delegates who pass courses and are usually issued within 6-8 weeks of the course completion date. An NRSWA card will then be received typically within 8-12 weeks following the issue of the Certificate. 

PASMA Courses - PASMA Certificates will be issued to all delegates who pass the course and are usually issued within 6-8 weeks of the course completion date. A PASMA card will also be issued typically between 6-8 weeks following the course completion date. 

Smart Awards Courses - SMART Awards certificates will be issued to all delegates who pass the course and are usually issued within 4-6  weeks of the course completion date. 

SPA Courses - SPA Safety Passport cards will usually be issued within 6-8 weeks of the course completion date.
