The NEBOSH General Certificate is the most widely attained health and safety qualification within the UK. It is often seen as an initial step to a career within health and safety management and is aimed at those based n the UK who need a general understanding of occupational health and safety issues within their role.
The NEBOSH General Certificate is accredited at Level 3 within the National Qualification Framework and also meets the academic requirements of IOSH for Technician membership (TechIOSH). The NEBOSH General Certificate qualification is also accepted by the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (llRSM) for associate membership.
The National NEBOSH General Certificate is divided into two units; NEBOSH NG1& NG2.

It is also possible to take a NEBOSH National General Certificate blended e learning course, designed for those who may struggle to attend block sessions away from their workplace.
All NEBOSH training courses are provided by NEBOSH accredited training providers. Successful candidates studying for the NEBOSH General Certificate will receive an accredited NEBOSH certificate for each unit passed, as well as an overall NEBOSH General Certificate once all three units have been successfully completed.
