The International NEBOSH Oil and Gas Certificate is designed to provide a sound breadth of underpinning knowledge that enables candidates to manage oil and gas operational risks effectively. It is aimed at those who have the responsibility for ensuring oil and gas safety as part of their day to day duties, including Managers, Supervisors and Employee representatives, as well as newly appointed Health and Safety Advisors.
Candidates should already have an underpinning knowledge of safety issues and (although not a pre-requisite for this course), may have already studied another of the NEBOSH Certificate-level qualifications, such as the National or International General Certificate. Experience of oil and gas operations will be beneficial also.
The core content of this Intenational NEBOSH Oil and Gas course (IOG1) is around international standards and management systems of oil and gas, thus enabling students to effectively discharge workplace safety responsibilities both onshore and offshore.
It is broken down into 5 different Elements:
Candidates will sit a written examination at the end of the course, which is then marked externally by NEBOSH.

All NEBOSH training courses are provided by NEBOSH accredited training providers. Successful candidates will receive the NEBOSH International Oil and Gas Certificate, which has no expiration date.
