The NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety is aimed at managers and supervisory staff who have to ensure that their organisation meets its responsibilities under fire safety legislation. The NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety is therefore suitable for people moving into fire safety adviser roles, as delegates completing this course should be able to carry out fire risk assessments of most low risk workplaces and identify the range of fire protective and preventative measures needed.
The NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety is accredited at Level 3 within the National Qualification Framework and also meets the academic requirements of IOSH for Technician membership (TechIOSH). The qualification is also accepted by the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (llRSM) for associate membership.
The NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety qualification covers all elements of FSC1 & FSC2 and is designed to provide a fundamental understanding of health and safety management in the workplace alongside the skills and knowledge that those responsible for fire safety require.
Those who take specific units separately will cover certain elements depending on the unit chosen.
This NEBOSH course can be broken down into two units:
Unit FSC1 - Fire safety
Unit FSC2 - Fire risk assessment
For this unit candidates are required to carry out a practical risk assessment
