IPAF Safety Harness Use and Inspection Training

This IPAF course will instruct an operator to safely select, inspect and use a harness and associated equipment safely when using a MEWP.

This course is aimed at those who are responsible for inspecting PPE, maintaining inspection records and undertake statutory inspections on behalf of an organisation.

IPAF Course Detail

The IPAF Harness Use and Inspection course covers:

Relevant Health and Safety regulations
The need for Protective Equipment (PPE) to guard against falls from height
Identifying and selecting the correct forms of PPE when using a MEWP
Inspection and maintenance of the harness and lanyard
Fitting and using the harness and lanyard
Pre-use checks and correct usage
Theory test (pass or fail)

Course Delivery

The IPAF Harness Use and Inspection Course is a half day course, which can be delivered as a conventional course where delegates attend the course to study both the theory and practical elements, or as a blended course option where the theory aspect of this course is completed online. Delegates will then attend the training centre for the practical aspect of the course.

Successful delegates will receive an IPAF Certificate of Training which is valid for 5 years, and for those who hold a PAL Card the new category can be added.

Delegates who hold an IPAF PAL card will have it endorsed with this qualification, and those who do not hold a PAL card will receive an IPAF certificate.
