This IPAF course is a half day course aimed at operators of Push Around Verticals; these are small static vertical machines without drive also known as PAV’s. Unlike Static Verticals (IPAF category 1a), they do not have mechanical drive and are physically pushed around. They are typically used at low levels in areas such as warehousing, construction and manufacturing environments.
The IPAF PAV course covers a range of topics relating to the safe operation of PAVs, as well as guidance for those who use, supervise, or manage work where PAVs are required. The course includes both theory and practical sessions covering safe operating methods and hazards.
Course topics include:
Note:- If you have a valid licence with Static Vertical (1a) or Mobile Vertical (3a), you will only require familiarisation on the PAV machine, which would negate the need to do this course, and this should be recorded in your IPAF log book.
The IPAF PAV course will not generally have open course dates. The course can be run at a registered IPAF training centre or at a customer’s premises, if the venue and equipment meet pre-requisite requirements.

Successful delegates will receive an IPAF Certificate of Training and IPAF PAL Photo ID Card, which is valid for 5 years.
