The IPAF PAL + course is targeted at operators working in higher risk or challenging environments, for example with steelwork, confined overhead spaces or on difficult terrain.
It is an optional, additional one day of category-specific operator training and allows candidates to demonstrate their abilities in operating powered access equipment in challenging work environments.
The IPAF PAL+ course is the next level up from the PAL Operator Course, and as such all delegates must have successfully passed the IPAF Operator Course prior to attending and hold a valid IPAF PAL Operator Card in the relevant category or categories that they wish to be trained for. Please be advised that taking the PAL Operator and PAL+ courses back-to-back may not be suitable as sufficient experience in operating equipment is required.
Course content includes:
The course is assessed through a theory test and a practical test. Candidates will also be expected to sit through individual interviews to test their understanding.
If you hold a valid PAL Card and then successfully complete the PAL+ course, you will be issued with a new PAL card showing the relevant categories for which PAL+ was achieved.
The IPAF PAL + course does not generally have open course dates. The course can be run at a registered IPAF training centre or at a customer’s premises, as long as the venue and equipment meet pre-requisite requirements. If the Dates Button is not showing above, please select the enquiry button to send us an enquiry.
