EUSR Training - Implement Safe (Digging) Excavating Practices

The EUSR Implement Safe (Digging) Excavating Practices course has been developed as a Category 2 Program for those who need to excavate and maintain holes/trenches using both power tools and hand tools.

This is a critical safety course for all concerned working in this area and is often referred to as the “Safe Digging” or “Safe Digging Practices” course. It meets the requirements of both HSE HSG47 (Avoiding Danger from Underground Services) and HSG150 (Health and Safety in Construction).

Course Detail

EUSR Implement Safe (Digging) Excavating Practices courses cover topics such as:

Interpretation of utility drawings and line search documents
Safe digging techniques
The hazards and dangers associated with excavations.
Risk assessments
PPE
Maintenance of excavations
How to locate and detect services
Identify ground/soil types and changeable conditions faced on-site.
