The CPCS A60 mobile crane operator course is aimed at those who operate mobile cranes in a construction environment.
There are three separate endorsements for this category; these are:
Those who take and pass the A60C CPCS course: Mobile Crane – All Duties, will be qualified for A60A and 60B automatically.
There are two crane operator course levels available, dependent on experience. Foundation/Novice courses are aimed at those who have less than two years recent experience in their job role. Experienced Worker courses are for those who have more than 2 years recent and consistent experience operating Mobile Cranes.
All candidates regardless of skill level must have taken and passed the CSCS Health, Safety and Environment test within the last two years.
Those who successfully pass this CPCS crane training course will be awarded the Red CPCS Card in this category. Possible follow-on courses include CPCS A66C or A66D Compact Crane Operator, CPCS A62 Crane Supervisor or CPCS A61 Appointed Person.

All endorsement and skill levels of CPCS crane training finish with the CPCS practical and theory tests for this category. The practical test for the Mobile Crane must be completed within three hours and will consist of the candidate using the machine to complete a variety of activities and manoeuvres including lifting and placing loads.
