CPCS (A23) - Skid Steer Training and Testing

CPCS Skid Steer training courses are suitable for those operating Skid Steers (also referred to as Bob Cats) in a construction environment. These courses, also known as bobcat training courses, are available at both Experienced Worker and Foundation/Novice level.

  • The Foundation Skid Steer course is most suited to those with less than 2 years’ recent experience in the role and will go into more detail on the basics as well as advanced training. These courses will typically be 3 or more days in duration.
  • Experienced Worker Skid Steer operator training courses are available for those who have 2 or more years’ constant and recent experience in their role. This experience level course is shorter, typically lasting 2 days in total, including the final CPCS practical technical test.

Successful candidates will receive the CPCS Red Card (Trained Operator) endorsed with this category. This is valid for 2 years; within this time, you must complete your NVQ in Plant Operations to convert from the Red CPCS card to the 5-year Blue CPCS card.

Please note that candidates must have successfully completed and passed the CSCS Health, Safety and Environment touchscreen test for Operatives within the past two years.

If you are a private individual looking to undertake this course, please read our guidelines for CPCS Training and the Private Individual before applying.
