Successful candidates will receive the CPCS Red Card (Trained Operator) endorsed with this category. This is valid for 2 years; within this time, you must complete your NVQ in Plant Operations to convert from the Red CPCS card to the 5-year Blue CPCS card.
Please note that candidates must have successfully completed and passed the CSCS Health, Safety and Environment touchscreen test for Operatives within the past two years.
If you are a private individual looking to undertake this course, please read our guidelines for CPCS Training and the Private Individual before applying.
Skid Steer operator training is designed to provide delegates with information and practical skills to confirm their understanding of safe and correct operation of the Skid Steer Loader.
Both CPCS course experience level variants end with the CPCS Theory and Practical Test. The CPCS theory test is a verbal questions and answer session which will take approximately an hour to complete. The CPCS practical test for the Skid Steer must be completed within seventy five minutes and will consist of the candidate using the machine to complete a variety of activities and manoeuvres including loading the machine.
