This Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) training course is aimed at those who operate a Rough Terrain Forklift in a construction environment and have successfully completed the CSCS Health, Safety and Environment touchscreen test for Operatives within the past two years.
Course content is suitable for both novice and experienced operators of Rough Terrain Forklifts but is split into two different CPCS courses; one for foundation/novice operators, and one for experienced workers, with over 2 years’ experience operating the machine.
It is also possible to book just to take the CPCS certification for Technical Tests relating to the Rough Terrain Forklift truck.
Successful delegates of either course level will gain the CPCS red card (trained operator). This is valid for 2 years. Candidates with this CPCS card can then register to complete the NVQ level 2 to obtain the Blue Competent Operators CPCS card.
If you are a Private Individual looking to obtain a CPCS card for a Rough Terrain Forklift, the implications are very different from those of a CITB registered construction company. For Private Individuals it is recommended that you click on the following link with information on CPCS Training and the Private Individual, before making a specific enquiry relating to a Rough Terrain Forklift training course.
Please note that for all CPCS tests, candidates must have successfully completed the CSCS Health, Safety and Environment touchscreen test for Operatives within the past two years.
This CPCS training course will provide delegates with a comprehensive understanding of operating a Rough Terrain Forklift, including practical and theoretical knowledge. The content is tailored to the experience of the operator, so will change depending on whether you book for a Foundation/Novice course or an Experienced Worker course.
For all CPCS categories, the CPCS theory test is a verbal Q&A session which will take approximately an hour to complete. The CPCS practical test for the Rough Terrain Forklift must be completed within eighty minutes and will consist of the candidate using the machine to complete a variety of activities and manoeuvres including lifting and placing loads.
Please check the Dates section for open courses in the CPCS (A14) Rough Terrain Forklift Training & Testing category, or for more general help or further information please send an enquiry to enquiries@bookmycourse.co.uk.
