This one-day CITB Temporary Works Supervisor training course is suitable for those who wish to supervise temporary works as defined in BS5975:2007 and A1:2011. It has been accredited by the CITB and recognised by organisations such as the Temporary Works Forum, CECA, UKCG, HSE and FMB.
Candidates are required to have a good understanding of English. Candidates must also have recent and direct experience of temporary works. Those who do not have this, may benefit from attending a CITB (TWGATC) - Temporary Works General Awareness Training Course.
The CITB Temporary Works Supervisor course is intended to train delegates to understand the need for (and duties of) a Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) and the overall management context within which it sits. Emphasis is given to the 4C’s - Communication, Co-ordination, Co-operation and Competency as well as a detailed knowledge and understanding of BS5975 in respect of this role.
This course is assessed by delegates undertaking a multiple-choice question paper at the end of the training day. Upon successful completion of the course, delegates will receive a certificate accredited by the CITB which is valid for five years.
