The one-day CITB Directors Role for Health and Safety course is one of the courses available through the Site Safety Plus scheme of CITB courses and is suitable for all company directors and senior members of management.
This CITB training course has been designed to give an understanding of the responsibilities and implications of decisions made by directors and senior management, with regards to health and safety in the workplace. The course also raises the repercussions of not meeting health and safety legal requirements, even for those not directly in a position to oversee the company health and safety policies/implementation.
Successful delegates who pass the CITB Directors Role for Health and Safety course will receive a CITB Site Safety Plus certificate which is valid for 5 years.
The Directors Role for Health and Safety course focuses on the promotion of a positive health and safety culture within the workplace and is ideal for directors and senior management who want to reinforce their understanding and commitment to health and safety management.
The content also addresses the necessity of analysing legal responsibilities on an ongoing basis and in line with changing legislation, as well as the duties imposed on directors.
Candidates must take part in ongoing classroom discussion; the course is assessed with a final multiple-choice examination.
This CITB Site Safety Plus course is available throughout the UK, either as open courses or as dedicated courses on customers’ own sites.
