CITB (SEATS) - Site Environmental Awareness Training - ONLINE CLASSROOM TRAINING
Remote delivery of the CITB SEATS course became an option when the CITB changed the scheme rules in response to the Coronavirus Pandemic to allow delivery of CITB Site Safety Plus Courses online in virtual classroom format.
The CITB SEATS training online course contains the same content as the traditional face-to-face version and is aimed at staff with management or supervisory responsibilities on a construction site. This includes:
- Site managers
- Site supervisors
- Site foreman
- Site agents
- Those with design or purchasing responsibilities.
The SEATS course onlline is part of the CITB Construction Skills Site Safety Plus range of CITB training courses, delivered through a network of CITB accredited training providers. It includes the environmental aspects of the new Health, Safety and Environment touch screen test.
Successful candidates will receive the CITB Site Safety Plus certificate, valid for 5 years.
CITB SEATS Course Online Detail
SEATS training online will provide delegates with an introduction to environmental issues on construction sites and has been designed to provide the basic environmental knowledge that sub-contractors are required to know and demonstrate to major contractors.
Delegates for this CITB SEATS course online will also be trained to identify both the environmental impacts of their work and improvement opportunities, as well as how to control and minimise their impact on the environment.
The course content is the same as that of the conventional classroom-based course but is delivered in an online classroom environment.
This Online CITB SEATS course includes the following elements:
- The significance and importance of the environment.
- A basic understanding of Environmental Management Systems.
- Site waste management.
- Prevention of pollution and water management.
- Use of energy and resources.
- Being a responsible contractor and a good neighbour – including statutory nuisance, communications, archaeology and heritage.
The CITB SEATS course online is delivered through online virtual classroom-based tutorials and case studies. Candidates must attend the course in full and the final part of the course will include a multiple-choice test.
Course Delivery

Delegates will be required to show original photographic identification via video link.
This online SEATS course will be remotely delivered by a tutor in a virtual online classroom and delegates must have access to a suitable PC, laptop or tablet with a robust high-speed internet connection sufficient to cope with online delivery. Delegates will also need a suitably sized quiet room where they can carry out the course without interruptions.
