The CISRS COTS (Construction Operative Training Course Specification) course is aimed at operatives carrying out only labouring or driving duties in support of scaffold operations. This course, which lasts for a day in duration, is a requirement for who wants to get the CISRS Scaffoldling Labourer card.
The CISRS COTS course is an ideal foundation course for those wishing to obtain an initial industry recognised certification within scaffolding, and is also a prerequisite for anyone who wants to go in to complete CISRS Part 1 and Part2, or the CISRS BASE course.
The CISRS COTS course includes the following elements:
Delegates will be assessed using a multiple-choice question format at the end of the course.
This course is delivered at CISRS training centres located across the UK, and centres undergo annual audits to ensure they continually meet CISRS Scheme Criteria.
Candidates must also have passed a CSCS Health, Safety and Environment touch screen test within two years, unless they have an accepted exemption.
Common exemptions include:
CISRS Scaffolding Labourer Cards are valid for a period of 5 years at which stage they will expire, and it will be necessary to re-qualify.
