The CISRS advanced scaffolding course is a 10-day programme aimed at scaffolders who have already attained their CISRS Scaffolder card and have gained at least 12 months practical experience of scaffolding operations since receiving their scaffolder card.
The advanced course will train candidates to the objectives approved by CISRS in the safe erection, alteration and dismantling of advanced scaffold systems, including:
Delegates who complete and pass the courses will receive a CISRS 10-day Advanced Scaffolder Certificate. They must then complete 6 months on site experience and achievement of before progressing onto the CISRS 2 Day Skills test.
Candidates who have already successfully completed their Advanced Scaffolding course and gained the minimum 6 months experience since completion of this must complete and pass a 2-day CISRS Skills Assessment and complete the NVQ Level 3/SCQF Level 6, before applying for their Advanced Scaffolder card.
Courses are delivered at CISRS training centres located across the UK, and centres undergo annual audits to ensure they continually meet CISRS Scheme criteria.
Candidates must have successfully completed and passed required course elements at each point in the progression described above.
On completion of the programme an operative can then apply for the CISRS Advanced Scaffolder Card, which is valid for a period of 5 years at which stage it will expire. To renew the card it will be necessary to complete a CISRS 2 Day CPD/Refresher Course to continue the qualification.
