TWSTC Training (CITB) - Temporary Works Supervisor Training

Temporary Works Supervisors (TWSs) can be appointed by subcontractors to manage their temporary works or by main contractors to support the TWC on a large project. The purpose of this course is to outline the role of the Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) as described by BS5975:2019. It is aimed at those who have site experience of temporary works.

The course covers relevant legislation and best practice as outlined by BS5975:2019, analyses the causes of failures and explores the way in which the role of the TWS supports that of the TWC.

This training is designed to teach the following:

- Understanding risk management when applied to temporary works.
- The role of the temporary works supervisor in co-operation, co-ordination, communications and competency while managing temporary works.
- The legal duties, roles and responsibilities of the temporary works supervisor.
- The role of any other temporary work processes.
- Any understanding of the relevant aspects of the temporary work supervisor if BS 5975:2008+A1:2011.

Course Duration: The course lasts for 1 day

Entry Requirements:

In order to enroll in this course you will need to have experience managing all forms of temporary works. Also, you should have a basic understanding of written and spoken English, as the course materials and instruction are all in English. Course Times: Usually 8.30am - 4.00pm. Course times will be confirmed in the joining instructions once the course has been booked.

Certification:

Those being awarded a pass following the course will gain certification for a nationally recognised course. Clients and contractors accept this course as a recognised qualification in temporary works training
