TWCTC Training (CITB) Refresher - Temporary Works Co-ordinator Training

Who is it for?

This course seeks to consolidate and build on the risk management knowledge that learners undertaking this role will have established through other experiences on site (likely in other supervisory and management roles) and focus on how to avoid failure in temporary works by adopting appropriate procedural controls, as outlined in BS 5975:2019.

The refresher course is an opportunity for learners who have attended the substantive TWCTC to revise and update their knowledge and understanding.

Pre-requisites: 

Only learners who have completed the TWC or TWC Refresher in the last five years are elligible to attend. Certification must be in date at the time of the course. 

What will you learn?

Learners are expected to have a working knowledge of the following legislation:

• Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974
• Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999
• Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007
• Construction Design and Management Regulations (CDM) 2015
• Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998
• Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998
• The Personal Protective Equipment Regulations 1992
• The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992
• The Work at Height Regulations 2005

Online training: 

For online courses, candidates will require:

• A laptop/computer with webcam, microphone, speakers and fast internet access (tablets/smartphones are not suitable) 
• A quiet room, free from distractions, to complete the course in
• A valid form of photo ID
