Who should attend: This course is designed for those who have, or are about to acquire, supervisory responsibilities. The people who would benefit from this course include site foremen and supervisors and is endorsed by the UK Contractor’s Group (UKCG).
Aims and objectives of the briefing: To ensure that all supervisors understand: - Why they are carrying out their identified duties - What is expected of them - The need to contribute to health and safety in the workplace

Training & Assessment Methods: The course will include tutorials, group and individual exercises, continuous assessment and an end of course exam.
Course content: The course covers the Health & Safety at Work Act and Regulations relevant to the construction industry and overs 8 main areas. Section 1 - Introduction to health and safety responsibilities. Section 2 – Health and safety law. Section 3 – Safe systems of work. Section 4 – Health and safety management. Section 5 – Occupational health. Section 6 – Fire prevention, control and other emergencies. Section 7 – Hazardous substances. Section 8 – Presentation skills.
Course Numbers: The maximum number of delegates on each course will be 12. (Please note that the course numbers are set and regulated by the CITB).
CITB - Construction Skills Grants:
Certification: Successful participants will receive the CITB Construction Skills Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme certificate which is valid for 5 years. Please note that delegates must attend both days to qualify.
