The Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) is the designed for site supervisors and foremen who work in the construction sector. The 2-day SSSTS course ensures that site supervisors understand their legal responsibilities for implementing rigorous health and safety measures on site and carrying out risk
assessment and method briefings.


The Site Supervisors Training Scheme course covers the following:
• Health and safety legislation
• Supervisory responsibilities
• Safe systems of work
• Health and safety management
• Occupational health
• Fire prevention/control and other emergencies
• Hazardous substances (COSHH)
• CDM regulations
• Working at height
• Personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Risk assessments
• Methods statements and briefings
• Site inductions
• Toolbox talks
• Effective monitoring of site activity
• Intervention skills and behaviour


Who this course is for?


The SSSTS course is intended for delegates who have or are acquiring supervisory responsibilities and provides them with an understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues and their legal responsibilities relevant to their work activities.


It is important that all delegates who attend this course have a good understanding of spoken and written English

CITB Accreditation valid for five years
