SSSTS (CITB) - Supervisor Site Safety Training Scheme

Course Overview

This two-day course introduces site supervisors to their legal responsibilities regarding health, safety, welfare and environmental issues.

This course is endorsed by the United Kingdom Contractors Group (UKCG) as the standard training for all supervisors working on UKCG sites.

Course content

The Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme covers:
- The Health and Safety at Work Act
- Specific site issues that challenge supervisors on a daily basis
- Effective toolbox talks
- Supervision of occupational health
- Behavioural safety.

Suitable for those who have or who are about to acquire supervisory responsibilities.

Entry Requirements

Good spoken and written English

Good communication, problem solving and organisational skills

Assessment

Continuous assessment via individual and group exercises, plus a multiple-choice test.

Certification

CITB accredited certificate valid for 5 years
