Objectives Delegates will be made aware of legislative requirements and will be able to implement their company policy requirements. They will gain an understanding of their responsibilities for health, safety, welfare and the environment.

Who Should Attend This CITB Site Safety Plus course is suitable for those who have or who are about to acquire supervisory responsibilities, including gangers and charge-hands.
Course Content The course concentrates on health and safety law and how it applies to the supervisor’s responsibilities in controlling construction site safety. Delegates will learn the key points of delivering inductions, tool box talks and method statement briefings.
Emphasis will be placed on the need for supervisors to promote health and safety in the workplace and create an environment where workers will report hazards. Delegates will be aware of when to intervene when bad practice is identified.
Outcomes Delegates will be continuously assessed via individual and group exercise, plus a multiple-choice test. 100% attendance is required for the final test.
Successful delegates will be issued with a certificate valid for 5 years, after which a Refresher course may be undertaken.
The course is endorsed by the United Kingdom Group (UKCG) as the standard training for all supervisors working on UKCG sites.
Delegate Preparation There are no set entry requirements for this qualification. However, delegates must have a good understanding of spoken and written English. Delegates will need to demonstrate a strong commitment to the course including some self-study.
The course either has new dates in data loading, or is only run as a dedicated or In Company course.
