To provide people who are responsible for others with the skills/knowledge to supervise safely. To provide an introduction to human factors, and how they influence safety in the workplace. Exercise, requiring candidates to write down the one thing they could start tomorrow, to most improve the safety performance of their workers
Objectives:
On completion of the course delegates will have the knowledge to:
-Demonstrate their understanding of the subjects by successfully completing the assessment paper -Appreciate how they personally can influence good standards within health safety & environment. -Understand the value of risk assessment and control documentation -Understand the requirements for supervising others, considering behavioural safety requirements Programme summary:
5 Modules which include
-Review of Health & Safety law and responsibilities for clients and contractors -Safety management systems and continuous improvement -Information handover and communications, giving out work effectively -Individual capabilities, competence, team work and behaviours -Tool box talk methodology and examples Accidents – definition, prevention, investigation -Exercises are run throughout the day to emphasise the learning points and check confirmation of understanding -Programme may be subject to change without prior notification
Safety Passport:
Successfully completing all assessment papers will result in a renewed safety passport being issued. The new passport is valid for 3 years and can be refreshed anytime during the 6 months before, or up to 3 months after the expiry date
The course either has new dates in data loading, or is only run as a dedicated or In Company course.
