Aim of the Course
Working on a petrol forecourt can present many health and safety risks. From fuel delivery contracting to handling food. Health and safety is a very important subject when operating within a petrol retail environment.
After 3 years of completing the SPA/UKPIA Safety Passport, contractors are required to renew their passport by taking the 1day refresher course, which delegates will then be awarded an extension to their current passport for a further 3 years.
Course Content
This course has been designed to develop the skills of contractors working in the petrol retail environment. The course will extend the delegates knowledge previously learned, depending on law changes, industry movements etc.
The course will cover the following:
- Re-cap on safe working procedures and health risks
- On-going development in the industry and how it can improve standards
- Re-evaluate the delegates own procedures and improve where necessary
Who should take this course?
This course is aimed at contractors working on a petrol forecourt, as contractors are required to obtain a valid SPA Passport to carry out such work, which this course ensure it stays valid every three years.
Qualification
To take this course, the delegate must have a SPA Safety Passport that has or is about to be invalidated.
