This 1 day refresher course is aimed at contractors that work on petrol station forecourts who already hold a valid SPA Safety Passport that requires renewing. The course must be completed within 6 months prior to the existing SPA Safety Passport expiry date.
Please Note: If a passport has expired, then the 2 day SPA Safety Passport – Core & Forecourt Petrol Retail course will be required.
Course Description
This course aims to provide and refresh delegates with knowledge of what a safe day in the petrol industry involves, including task and site hazards with working on a Petrol Filling Station. Additionally candidates will be reminded of how to utilise control measures, safe working practices and how to maintain a safe working environment. Learning outcomes
On completion of the course delegates will understand “A safe day in your life in the petrol industry”.
-Start of day preparation -Drive, arrive, take 5, stay alive -Booking in -Communication (two way) -Task and site hazards -Doing the job safely -Environment and waste -Completing the correct paperwork -Task execution (group exercise – 3600 hazard spotting) -Completion and hand back Assessment
A delegate’s understanding is assessed by multiple-choice questions and after attending and passing this course a new credit card sized “SPA Safety Passport” is issued showing the training that th delegate has attended and completed successfully. This is shown on the passport by sector icons.
*SPA Passports have a 3 year expiry date*
After the successful completion of the 1 Day Refresher Course a new SPA Safety Passport will be issued with a 3 year expiry date.
The course either has new dates in data loading, or is only run as a dedicated or In Company course.
