SPA Safety Passport - Core & Mineral Products

The safety passport for the quarry and minerals industry is run in conjunction with MPQC (Mineral Products Qualifications Council) formerly known as EPIC. The Quarry safety passport (sometimes known as the EPIC card) training course covers topics such as dust, confined spaces and hazard awareness.

The content for this MPQC Quarry Day 2  training programme is structured as follows: 

- Health and safety

- How to safely manage quarries

- Safe working excavations and confined spaces

- Working at heights

Assessment: A short, multiple choice examination on the day.

Certification:

Successful delegates receive a nationally-recognised certificate and card from SPA/MPQC, which expires after 3 years.
