CITB Construction Skills Site Safety Plus Scheme Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Refresher

Summary:
The CITB SMSTS Refresher is designed to ensure that personnel maintain and up-date their current health and safety knowledge. This course covers legislation, approved codes of practice and best working practice within the industry.

Delegates wishing to renew their SMSTS Training must provide a copy of the original 5 day course certificate.

Successful completion will award the SMSTS Certificate which will remain valid for a further 5 years.

Course Content
- Introduction to Health & Safety Management
- Managing Health & Safety
- Responsibilities of Supervisors and Managers
- Measuring and Auditing health and safety performance
- Control of hazards and risks.

Course Tutors:
Our course tutors are construction site practitioners with a vast experience of ‘on-site’ realities. They are also Chartered Members of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH); and also qualified and experienced Members of the Institute for Learning (MIfL).

Course Method:
Classroom tutorials, practical practice, continuous assessment

CITB Grants Available to qualifying fee paying companies

Additional information:
Please note that as of the 1st January 2016, CITB Site Management / Site Supervisor certificates will no longer have a six month grace period and candidates will need to attend a Refresher course before the expiry date of their original certificate.
