Introduction
The CITB Site Safety Plus Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) health and safety course is one of the most highly regarded training courses within the construction industry available for site managers and supervisors.
The SMSTS training course helps site managers (and anyone wanting to become a site manager) to develop a better understanding of the legal, moral and social responsibilities of their role, and to manage health and safety on site in accordance with current legal provisions. Courses are carried out by our fully trained HSE/CITB accredited instructors and the training will be of a high quality standard throughout. All instructors possess the NEBOSH Construction Certificate as minimum.
Course Aims
Employees taking on a management role have a vital part to play in site safety. They need the right knowledge and the right attitude which demands proper training in the management techniques required in the Approved Code of Practice for the construction (Design and Management) (CDM) Regulations as a demonstration of competence in the role of site manager.

A multi choice assessment is conducted at the end of the training.

It is intended for project managers, site managers and supervisors as well as proprietors of small to medium companies. Client-based personnel also benefit by attending the course. The course is also intended for people that want to develop as a Site Manager.

Entry Requirements
None
Certification
The training is carried out in accordance with Nationally Accredited Standards, leading to each delegate being issued a certificate of attainment from the CITB Construction Skills.
Additional information:
Please note that as of the 1st January 2016, CITB Site Management / Site Supervisor certificates will no longer have a six month grace period and candidates will need to attend a Refresher course before the expiry date of their original certificate.
