This two-day course aims to refresh your understanding of your key responsibilities and accountability for site safety, health, welfare and the environment, enabling you to provide healthy and safe working conditions for everyone on site.
Objectives:
At the end of the period of training, delegates will be aware of and be able to:
- Implement all health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation which affects them during their daily work.
- Implement new guidance and industry best practice
- State their duties and responsibilities with regards to health, safety, welfare and the environment.

- Risk assessment and method statements
- Construction Site Health, Safety and Welfare
- Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous -
Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR)
- Behavioural safety
- Occupational health
- Overview and changes to the current legislation affecting construction
Pre-requisites:
You must hold a valid SMSTS CITB certificate, which has been gained within the last five years. This qualification must be renewed every five years by attending this SMSTS Refresher course.
you must have a good understanding of both the written and spoken English language.

Successful delegates will receive a CITB accredited certificate
