Introduction


This two day SMSTS refresher course is available to current CITB SMSTS certificate holders who wish to renew their qualification.

Aims and Objectives

By actively participating in the course each delegate will be able to appreciate and understand recent developments in legislation and codes of practice regarding health, safety, environmental and welfare within the construction industry.

Course Content

The main areas of the course syllabus will be:

- An overview of changes to the current legislation affecting the construction industry
- Risk assessments and method statements
- CDM regulations 2015
- Construction health, safety and welfare
- RIDDOR (Reporting of accidents, diseases and dangerous occurrences

CITB Requirements

It is a requirement that delegates wishing to attend this course must provide proof of valid SMSTS certification.
