This course designed for site managers, site agents and persons who are, or due to be, responsible for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling, and administering groups of staff and a workforce.
This course covers relevant legislation and other aspects which affect safe working in the building, construction, and Civil Engineering industries. It will highlight the importance of risk assessments in the workplace, the implementation of control measures and adequate communication to sustain a health and safety culture among the workforces.
Who Should Attend?
Project managers, site managers and site supervisors plus proprietors of small to medium sized companies.
Requirements:
A good understanding of spoken and written English will be necessary to attend and complete the course successfully.

Assessment
Course assessment will consist of a multiple-choice test of 25 questions, of which 3 are safety critical. Delegates are required to achieve the pass rate of 80% (20 out of 25) and MUST get all 3 safety critical questions correct.
Delegates are required to attend all 5 days of the course to be eligible for certification.
Certification
Certification for this course is valid for 5 years. To remain certified in this area, you will need to complete the SMSTS Refresher course before the expiry date.
