Our CITB SMSTS Course is for construction site managers, agents, quantity surveyors, construction directors and project directors, and persons who are, or are about to be, responsible for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling, and administering groups of staff and workforce. The training provides teaching and assessment on relevant legislation and enable the effective management of health and safety within the building, construction, and civil engineering industries within the context of the delegate's management role. It
enables delegates to fully understand their roles, responsibilities and accountability for health, safety and welfare and teach them to recognise when a site is efficient, economical and productive.
Course contents:
Delegates must be able to read, write and understand English to attend the course.
Photographic ID and the delegates national insurance number must be provided on the first day of the course.
Duration and Assessment:
You will need to attend all 5 Days (This is a highly interactive course taught through case studies, classroom discussion, group work and individual or group presentations. Each delegate must be interactive throughout the course and pass a multiple-choice assessment)
When does my SMSTS certificate expire?
5 years (You must renew this qualification every five years by attending and passing the SMSTS Refresher course before your certificate expires)
