SMSTS Training (CITB) - Site Management Training

Who Should Attend:

Project Managers, Site Managers, Site Supervisors, proprietors of small to medium sized companies. People that currently manage or wish to manage a construction site should attend this course. This course can also be used as supporting evidence when applying for the CSCS Black Managers Card.

Course Contents:

The course CITB SMSTS Site Managers Safety Training Scheme course includes:

• The Health and Safety at Work Act
• Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations
• Risk assessments/method statements
• Recent changes in accepted working practices
• Behavioural safety
• Management of occupational health
• Electricity
• Excavations
• Working at height
• Scaffolding
• Demolition
• Confined spaces

Certification: 

This course is CITB accredited as part of the Site Safety Plus suite of courses. Upon successful completion, delegates will achieve a CITB SMSTS certificate which is valid for 5 years. 

Duration: 

The CITB SMSTS or Site Management Safety Training Scheme course is a 5-day training course delivered over five days as a five day block however, it can be delivered over 5 weeks 1 day per week. It is more in-depth than the (SSSTS) and demonstrates how to meet the demand for good health and safety management on site.
