Course Objectives:

Upon completion of the course delegates should be able to:

- Understand the background to Health and Safety legislation – particularly
in the construction industry
- Understand the various duties and responsibilities of those who
- implement/manage health and safety issues
- Understand the powers of the enforcing authorities
- Understand how Health and Safety legislation fits into our legal
framework
- Be aware of accident trends and prevention techniques
- Understand the principle of risk assessment
- Understand the need for safe systems of work
- Manage a site safely in compliance with existing legislation

Who Should Attend:

Those who have responsibility for the organisation and running of a Construction Site, Contract Managers, Site Managers and Assistant Site Managers. The course is limited to a maximum of 20 delegates.

Certification:


On successful completion of the course, delegates will achieve a CITB accredited certificate which is valid for 5 years.

Construction Skills Charges and Grants:

Each delegate is required to have a Construction Skills registration at a cost of

£35. The Construction Skills GE700 Manual (worth £98.00) is included in the cost of the course. Those Organisations who are in scope for grants as Construction Skills levy payers are entitled to claim per delegate and on successful completion of the course, an achievement grant.
