SSSTS (CITB) - Supervisor Site Safety Training Scheme

Course Aims:

The aim of the course is:

To ensure site supervisors are updated on:

•    Developing their knowledge of Health and Safety
•    Understand their legal duties
•    Satisfy legislative requirements
•    Make sites a safe working environment
•    Provides an introduction to health and safety, welfare and environmental issues for those requiring an understanding of their legal responsibilities relevant to their work activities
•    Introduction to CDM 2015

At the end of the course, each individual has to pass a multiple choice test which qualifies them for the Construction Site Supervisors Safety Certificate

The objectives of the course are to enable delegates to:

•    Have an understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act and relevant regulations
•    Have an understanding of specific site issues, which include such topics as Work at Height
•    Tool Box Talks
•    Control of subcontractors
•    Health issues

Candidates will gain qualification/certification in: Construction Skills Site Safety Plus certificate for 5 years

Who do we recommend attends the Course? Site supervisors or people who have, or are about to acquire supervisory responsibilities

Course summary:

This is a highly interactive course delivered by means of case studies, classroom discussion, group work and individual/group presentations. Candidates will be continuously assessed through individual and group exercises and will have to complete a multiple-choice test
