Course Dates

Summary:

This classroom-based course will provide candidates with an introduction to environmental issues on and around construction sites. It is designed to meet the basic environmental knowledge that the sub-contract chain is required to prove to major contractors. As well as sources for further information, course participants are encouraged to ask questions and participate in discussion.

Course Content:

- Best practice techniques and legal compliance

- The environment and why it matters

- Environmental management systems

- Contamination of land Waste management

- Ecology

- How to be a good neighbour: statutory nuisance, communication

- Archaeology and heritage

- Energy and resources

- Examination

- Being a responsible contractor

- Summary and feedback

Entry Requirements:

Good understanding of spoken and written English. Please contact us if you have any concerns in this area.

You will need to bring valid ID, such as a copy of your passport or driving licence.

The course either has new dates in data loading, or is only run as a dedicated or In Company course.
