Scaffold Inspection & Appreciation

Aims:
The course will study the legal obligations covering the provision and use of scaffolding, the terminology used, the components used, their correct use and the construction standards required to ensure safe places of work.
Further to the above the course will study inspection techniques and the recording procedures necessary to comply with the statutory provisions.
Objectives:
On successful completion the student will be able to demonstrate the following:
- A sound knowledge of the legal obligations covering the provision and use of scaffolding
- The ability to identify scaffold components and know the reasons for their use
- A knowledge of standard scaffold structures, and where and when the requirements for calculations and design are triggered
- The techniques of scaffold inspection and the completion and recording of scaffold inspection reports

Course location and dates:
The provider have a scaffold at their training centre in Bristol for practical assessment, but can also provide training at your premises. Please contact us regarding requirements.
