The Work at Height Regulations state that any person working at height must be trained and competent in the use of Work at Height equipment including Rescue procedures, our courses are designed to provide the solution so that the delegates are equipped with the essential knowledge required to carry out their tasks in the safest possible manner:
Aim of the course: To provide the delegate with an appreciation of the safe use and inspection of safety harnesses
Content: - Why we need to train - Health & Safety at Work act 1974 - PUWER 1998 - Personal Protective Equipment Regulations 1992 - Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999 - NEW - Guidance on when Safety Harnesses/Lanyards need to be worn - - Categories for safe work at height - Working At Height Regulations 2005 - Personal risk assessment - Equipment Types - Equipment Checks - Maintenance & storage of equipment - Selection and use of equipment - Suspension trauma - Rescue planning - Practical training & written multiple choice test paper
Duration: The course runs over a 1/2 Day period. At the end of the course all successful attendees are issued with a certificate of Attendance which is valid for 3 years from the date of course.
Training Methods Presentation, video, printed course material, demonstration, practical use Delegates are requested to bring with them their own harnesses
The course either has new dates in data loading, or is only run as a dedicated or In Company course.
