This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to correctly plan, safely locate, and avoid underground services. This includes working to a safe system of work, physical identification methods of underground services, site visual surveys, interpretation of asset owner documentation, risk assessments,
and permits.

• Understand service drawings required when preparing to work on or near underground services

Pre- requisite
This accreditation is available to anyone over the age of 16 who is capable of reaching the required standard. There are no barriers that restrict access or progression thereby promoting equal opportunity.
It is expected however that learners will have a level of literacy adequate to cope with the assessment.
