Course Overview
Course Dates

This course meets the Arqiva Radio Frequency framework.

Aims and Suitability:

Delegates will be proficient in risk assessment of RF hazards and identifying systems of overexposure. Delegates will understand safe working levels and be proficient in the use of RF Meters to monitor RF exposure.

Course Contents:

- Health and safety legislation.
- Safety bodies.
- Safety access.
- Non ionizing/ionizing radiation.
- Effects of radio frequency on the body.
- Exposure and safety procedures.
- RF monitors.
- Scenarios of RF Hazards.

Delivery and Assessment:

Classroom-based theory and practical sessions. Written assessment to ensure theoretical understanding has been achieved

Certification:

Certification valid for 3 years

Course Requirements:

Delegates must be over 18 years old

Equipment Requirements:

Delegates will need to bring suitable PPE

Duration:

Half Day
