Course Content:

The course covers The Health & Safety at Work Act and the regulations relevant to the construction industry as well as recent changes.

Who Attends:

The SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) is a 2 day site safety training course. It is intended for those who have, or are about to acquire, supervisory responsibilities. It provides supervisors with an understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues, as well as their legal responsibilities relevant to their work activities. It will highlight the requirement to promote health and safety to supervise effectively.

Candidates are expected to be interactive during the course and will be assessed using a
multiple choice question format at the end of the course.

Course Content:

Day One:
- Health and safety law
- Role of the supervisor
- Personal protective equipment
- Fire prevention/control and other emergencies
- Health and safety management
- Hazardous substances
- Noise
- Working at height
- CDM Regulations 2015

Day Two:
- Manual handling
- Accidents and first aid
- Intervention skills and behaviour
- SSSTS Examination

Training Methods: The training is all classroom-based.

Delegates must attend all days and have a good understanding of spoken and written English.

Course Times:

9.00am - 5.00pm. Course times will be confirmed in the joining instructions once the course has been booked.
