Who Should Attend:

The NRSWA street works supervisor training is for people who need to supervise works being carried out on roads in the UK. On every live site, for operatives to carry out work there must legally be a street works supervisor available.

Course Objectives:

To provide delegates with the knowledge to work on roads within the UK in line with the requirements of the NRSW Act 1991.

Course Contents:

The following activity will take place in this five-day course:
- 001 – Location & avoidance of underground apparatus
- 010 – Monitoring, signing, lighting and guarding
- 011 – Monitoring excavation in the highway
- 012 – Monitoring reinstatement & compaction of backfill layer
- 013 – Monitoring reinstatement of sub and road base in non bituminous material
- 014 – Monitoring reinstatement of bituminous materials
- 016 – Monitoring reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways

Certification:

On completion of the course candidates will be registered with SQA, CITB, CABWI or the relevant awarding body and receive certification. They will also receive a street works register ID card that proves registration on the NRSWA register. The candidates NRSWA card is valid for 5 years.
