NRSWA - New Roads & Street Works Training - Supervisor Units 1, 10 - 14 & 16 (LA, S1-S5, & S7)

Who Attends:

The NRSWA streetworks supervisors units 1, 10-14 & 16 is an assessment course designed for those that already have a reasonable knowledge of working in the public highway. There is a limited amount of refresher training in the morning, but this course is not suitable for complete novices.

Course Content:

Day One:
- Unit 001 – Location & Avoidance of underground services assessment

Day Two:
- Unit 010 – Monitoring signing, Lighting & Guarding assessment

Day Three:
- Unit 011 – Monitoring excavation in the highway assessment

Day Four:
- Unit 012 – Monitoring reinstatement & compaction of backfill materials assessment
- Unit 013 – Monitoring reinstatement of nun-bituminous sub-base & road-base materials assessment
- Unit 014 – Monitoring laying practices and reinstatement of cold-lay bituminous materials assessment

Day Five:
- Unit 016 – Monitoring reinstatement of modular surfaces & concrete footways assessment.

Training Methods:

There is a limited amount of refresher training in the morning, but this course is not suitable for complete novices. Time is spent both in the classroom and in the roadway prior to the formal daily assessments.

Pre-requisites and Additional Information:

Delegates MUST have some prior experience of working in the public highway before attending the assessments.
