To assess their abilities against the standards of City and Guilds 6167 (formerly 6157 & 6156) for Units 001 & 010-014.
Important Information
Each NRASW Unit is assessed using both practical observations and a 20 question multiple choice knowledge test, the pass mark for the test is 80% (16 out of 20)
Course Prerequisites
Our NRASW course is assessment based and intended for experienced candidates.
Refresher training inputs are given during the course; however delegates are expected to be familiar with using a Cat & Genny; and have knowledge of portable traffic signals; the red book (Safety at Street Works and Road Works - A Code of Practice); and excavation and reinstatement equipment.
Candidates need ideally to have reasonable reading and writing skills (spelling is not important) and to understand spoken English. Where this is not the case please contact the training centre in advance of booking to discuss your candidate's individual training needs.
Any candidate for whom a language interpreter is required is not permitted - under City & Guilds scheme rules - to attend the programme.
If you are unsure whether you/your staff has the required skills and/or experience please contact us for further information.
