This course is aimed at managers and professional health and safety practitioners and equips the holders to advise on effective management over a wide range of industry sectors. It is a level 6 qualification (UK National Qualifications Network) and as such regarded as a university degree equivalent. Although there are no formal entrance requirements stipulated by NEBOSH it is highly recommended that applicants possess a NEBOSH certificate or equivalent level.

Entry to the NEBOSH National Diploma will be accepted with the following awards:

- NVQ level 3 & 4 in Health and Safety in the Workplace or Occupational Health and Safety Practice
- NEBOSH National General, Construction or Fire Certificate
- Degree or Post Graduate Diploma / Certificate in relevant subject

However, all applicants will be evaluated individually taking into account the knowledge and experience necessary for success on the NEBOSH National Diploma.

Certification and Assessment

A unit certificate is awarded denoting successful achievement of each Unit. The Diploma parchment is issued on successful completion of all units.
