Introduces the fundamentals of occupational health and safety; providing a foundation in environmental management. Beneficial to any UK based business it covers UK environmental laws and standardised management methods such as ISO 14001.

Who Should Attend?

This qualification is for anyone who needs to gain a sound understanding of the principles of environmental management and is relevant for both UK and international markets. The NEBOSH Environmental Certificate is a crucial first step towards establishing a lifelong professional career in environmental management.

 

Learning Outcomes: NEBOSH Environmental Certificate:

  • Able to understand environmental management and environmental management systems
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments
  • Control of emissions, contamination and control of waste and land use
  • Identify sources and use of energy, energy efficiency and control of environmental noise
  • Deploy planning methods for management of environmental emergencies

There are no entry requirements for this qualification, however it is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.

EMC1: NEBOSH Environmental Certificate

On completion of the NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate you will have the knowledge and skills covering:

  •  Foundations in environmental management
  •  Environmental management systems
  •  Environmental impact assessments
  •  Control of emissions to air
  •  Control of contamination of water sources
  •  Control of waste and land use
  •  Sources and use of energy and energy efficiency
  •  Control of environmental noise
  •  Planning for and dealing with environmental emergencies

EMC2: Environmental impact assessment inspection and report

 
Duration:

- 4 days – Trainer Led Learning via zoom

- Plus EMC1 OBE 24 hour examination window – pre-determined date by NEBOSH
- EMC2 – Written Assessment – Submitted 10 days after the end of the course
