Building on knowledge gained at Certificate level, the NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety is a globally recognised qualification and is held by more than 10,000 people in the UK and worldwide. Ideal qualification for those seeking a successful career in health and safety.
Successful completion of the National Diploma means you can apply for the graduate membership of IOSH (Grad IOSH) and take the next step towards becoming a chartered member of IOSH (CMIOSH).
Upon completion of the diploma, you can also apply to be a member of the International Institute of Risk Management and use the initials MIIRSM after your name.
NEBOSH strongly recommends that students must have attained a NEBOSH National General Certificate or National Construction Certificate or equivalent before studying the NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
The qualification is divided into four assessed units, each of which is assessed separately. Assessment is by three written examinations (one for each of the units A, B and C) and a work-based written assignment (Unit DNI). All units must be completed within 5 years to achieve the full NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
