The NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is an essential qualification for anyone working in or wanting to work in safety & health, as well as those with health and safety responsibilities within their roles.

Course Contents:
The NEBOSH National General Certificate is based on UK law. It is made up of three units which must be successfully completed within five years to achieve the NEB0SH National General Certificate qualification:
Unit NGC1: Management of Health and Safety - Foundations in Health and Safety - Plan - Do - Check - Act
Unit NGC2: Control of Workplace Hazards - Workplace Hazards and Risk Control - Transport Hazards and Risk Control - Musculoskeletal Hazards and Risk Control - Work Equipment Hazards and Risk Control - Electrical Safety - Fire Safety - Chemical and Biological Health Hazards and - Risk Control - Physical and Psychological Health Hazards and Risk Control
Unit GC3: Health and Safety Practical Application - Assessed by a two hour work based practical assessment.
Assessment:
Units NGC1 and GC2 of the NEBOSH National General Certificate are each assessed by two-hour written examinations. Unit GC3 is assessed by a two-hour practical assessment carried out in your workplace (or another suitable workplace).
Exams are held in March, June, September and December each year.
Exemptions:
To achieve the NEBOSH National General Certificate you must complete all three units (NGC1, GC2 & GC3) within five years.
If you have been awarded the NEBOSH National Construction Certificate or NEBOSH National Fire Certificate in the last five years you will be exempt from Unit NGC1 and can simply 'top up' by completing Unit GC2 and the practical assessment (Unit GC3).
The course either has new dates in data loading, or is only run as a dedicated or In Company course.
