Course Syllabus
The qualification is a two unit qualification and is broken down into six elements:
Unit FSC1: Fire safety
▪ Element 1: Managing fire safety
▪ Element 2: Principles of fire and explosion
▪ Element 3: Fuel, oxygen and ignition sources and control measures
▪ Element 4: Fire protection in buildings
▪ Element 5: Safety of people in the event of a fire
▪ Element 6: Fire safety risk assessment
Unit FSC2: Fire risk assessment
▪ Practical assessment
Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements for this qualification, however it is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.
Assessment
This modern qualification combines activities, learning and interactive materials to provide you with an interesting and engaging experience. It focuses on key skills that means you can instantly apply the knowledge you gain and add value to your organisation.
Assessment is a two-step process:
FSC1 - This is a digital assessment which can be taken remotely. Learners will have 24 hours to access, complete and submit their paper, starting from 11am (UK time) on the examination date.
FSC2 - Assessed by a Fire Risk Assessment carried out in the delegate’s workplace
