Monopole Access and Rescue

Who Should Attend:

The Monopole training is designed to provide professionals with the knowledge and practical experience to enable them to access and carry out a rescue from a monopole structure. Delegates be proficient in a number of approaches including abseil, conscious and unconscious weight off and associated evacuation equipment.

Course Contents:

- Health and safety legislation.
- Risk assessment and method statements.
- PPE selection and usage.
- PPE maintenance and inspection.
- Evacuation equipment.
- Weight off rescue.
- Demonstration of evacuation theory.
- Lift and lower casualty.
- Abseil theory.
- Rescue by abseil.

Delivery and Assessment:

Classroom based theory and practical climbing and rescue sessions with scenario-based activities. Written and practical assessment to ensure theoretical and practical understanding has been achieved.

Course Requirements:

Delegates must be over 18 yrs, physically fit, able to work at height with previous climbing experience. Delegates will be required to complete a medical declaration.

Equipment Required:

Delegates will need to bring suitable climbing PPE and clothing for seasonal weather conditions. Climbing PPE may be provided upon request.
